Benton School District announces number of personnel changes
The Benton School District has announced a number of personnel changes, including Michelle Shoppach being named the new Benton High School head volleyball coach after Brandy Chumley announced her resignation after 17 seasons.
Chumley will now serve as the Benton Middle School PE/ seventh-grade coach.
In addition to coaching the volleyball team, Shoppach will also over see Benton Junior High Pe/health.

A number of transfers and reassignments have also been approved.
Shelby Baker will transfer from BMS resource to Howard Perrin resource, while Carol Bauer will be the new BHS CTE department head. Jason Gentry will be the new BHS strength coach.
Melanie Holmes and Ashli Yazza will serve as BHS Student Council sponsors for one contract year (2019-2020). Yazza will be the sole sponsor during the 2020-2021 year.
Cameron Phillips will be assigned to both the girls and boys BJH
Temporary contracts have also been approved for a number of employees.
Those working at Angie Grant Summer School (Camp Angiewood) include Anne Felan, Megan Harris, Erin Hohman, Emily Kerksieck, Faith Lamb, Laura Lancaster, Melissa Lee, Jennifer Lunsford, Loren Mccauley, Ellen Place, Destiney Powell, Shara Rickett, Brandy Shelton, Debbie Tully and Becky Whitley.
Gabe Garcia and Dakota Leslie will work at Butler Auditorium, while Lynsie Church, Misti Hart, Jaic James and Stephanie Manion while work at Jump Start.
Sara Salmon and Renee Taylor have been hired as Psychological Examiners.
Ringgold Summer School will be staffed by Lisa Lea, Kathryn Mccoy, Leticia Melton, Bronson Melton, Sandra Newman and Carmen Phillips.
Those working at Super Summer include Annette Armstrong, Annmarie English, Melanie Kiker, Kristi Hixon, Sarah Winne, Megan Thomas, Rebecca Ward, Beth Mathys, Rosa White, Sara Ward, Allison Bailey, Kristi Chumley, Melissa Hilson, Connie Jeffcoat, Karen Ware and Emily Wood.
Quinten Wells and Josh Hynum will work in technology.
Child Nutrition employees include Margaret Buffington, Elanie Davis, Kathy Hobby, Patty Holiman-kilburn, Sherry Hood, Rebecca Hurley, Robin Mccallister, Amber Reese, Angie Richards, Debra Shelton, Nancy Vernon and Janis Wilson.
Those working the extended school year include Shelby Barker, Shelia Russanne Bryant, Jill Crow, Roxana Gosvener, Sarah Graham, Misti Hart, Dawn Leslie, Lori Mcginnis Allison Nolley, Candy Sample Hannah Schelle and Kara Conrad. Tim Brewer will serve as a substitute for extended school year.
Timothy Brewer will work in Homebound Services while Kristy
Beach and Gina Perry will be in Registered Behavior Technician Training.
BMS Summer School employees include Teresa Bond, Christina Smith, Amy Thornton and Amy Vrana.
