Moss de-commits from Hoop Hogs
FAYETTEVILLE Isaiah Moss, a three-year letterman basketball guard committed since May 15 as a graduate transfer from the University of Iowa to the University of Arkansas, has rescinded his Razorbacks commitment and reopened his graduate transfer availability via the NCAA portal, Moss disclosed Friday on Twitter.
To 10 returnees listed as on UA scholarship last season under former Arkansas Coach Mike Anderson, new Arkansas Coach Eric Musselman has added immediately eligible graduate transfers Jimmy Whitt of SMU, a guard ironically commencing his collegiate career under Anderson at Arkansas before transferring as a sophomore to SMU, and forward Jeantal Cylla transferring from North Carolina-wilmington.
Connor Vanover, a 7-3 center and Little Rock native transferring as a sophomore from Stanford, and JD Notae, transferring as a sophomore from the University of Jacksonville, by NCAA rules must redshirt as undergraduate transfers from one Division I school to another, though Vanover is expected to appeal he’s returning close to home because of his grandmother’s ill health.
Kerry Blackshear, a 6-10 center open to recruiting as an immediately eligible for one year graduate transfer from Virginia Tech, reportedly visited the UA Friday.
Blackshear averaged 14.9 points and 7.5 rebounds for Virginia Tech’s 26-9 Hokies this past season reaching the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet Sixteen.
