Lola Mae Haislip, 93, of Benton, passed away Wednesday, June 12. She was born May 16, 1926, in Bigelow. Lola was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a homemaker, gardener and a pistol-packing grandma.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Haislip; her parents, George M. Lovell and Jessie Hawkins Lovell; three sisters, Jean Lovell Johnson, Lorene Lovell Wingo and Thelma Lovell Dawson; and three brothers, George Lovell, Rufus Lovell and Eddie Lovell.

She is survived by a son, Russell Haislip; a daughter-in-law Michelle Haislip; a grandson, Bryar Haislip; a number of stepchildr­en and great-grandchild­ren; a special niece, Vickie; and a wonderful friend, Judy.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 16, at Ashby Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 17, at Ashby Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Kentucky Cemetery. Minister will be Dennis Gage.

Pallbearer­s will be William White, John Parks, James Sturm, Kelly Shamlin, Drew Mullins and Braden Carman.

Lola loved flowers, her beautiful yard, fishing, deer hunting and most of all — her family.
