Grant nets no-hit­ter at Wolff Clas­sic

the first in­ning, a two-out, 2-run home run by Lo­gan Cham­bers in the sec­ond and another Dren­nan RBI sin­gle in the top of the fourth.

The Black Sox put up a 7-spot in he sixth in­ning helped by six free passes, four with the bases loaded, RBI sin­gles by Noah Davis and Cham­bers, and a sac­ri­fice fly by Lo­gan Cat­ton to cap the scor­ing.

Cham­bers fin­ished 3 for 4 with the homer and three RBIS, Dren­nan was 2 for 3 with two RBIS and Davis was 2 for 4 with a run and RBI. Jake Wright went 1 for 2 with a run and RBI, and Bray­den Lester was 1 for 1 with three runs and an RBI.

In the 8-3 win on Fri­day, Cham­bers had another big day go­ing 3 for 4 with two runs and an RBI, while Dren­nan went deep with a 2-run shot in the first in­ning, fin­ish­ing 1 for 3 with two


Af­ter hit­ting a dou­ble to lead off the third in­ning, Cham­bers stole third and scored on a wild pitch to put the Black Sox up 3-0.

A one-out dou­ble by Gage Stark, a sin­gle by Coby Greiner and a sac­ri­fice fly by Aaron Mor­gan in the top of the fourth made it a 4-0 game, and Bryant made it 7-0 in the sixth aided by RBI sin­gles by Lester and Cham­bers and a sac fly by Cat­ton.

Prodigy put up a run in the bot­tom of the sixth, but the Black Sox got the run back when Pey­ton Dil­lon dou­bled and Grant traded spots with him with an RBI dou­ble for the 8-1 game.

Stark fin­ished 2 for 3 with two runs, Lester was 1 for 1 with a run and RBI, Grant 1 for 3 with a run and RBI, and Dil­lon and Greiner both added a hit in the win.

Will Mcen­tire started and gave up two runs on five hits and no walks, strik­ing out eight in five in­ning for the win.

Bryant Jr. Black Sox player Will Hath­cote fouls off a pitch in a game ear­lier this sea­son. Hath­cote went 2 for 4 with a run and RBI in a 9-6 win over Mid­west Nationals on Fri­day to help the Jr. Sox start 3-0 in the Chad Wolff Clas­sic in Fayet­teville. JT Parker was 2 for 3 with two runs and two RBIS, while Noah Davis went 1 for 4 with a homer, three runs and an RBI. Gavin Bur­ton, Joshua Turner, Dakota Clay and Blaine Sears all had a hit and RBI apiece. The Jr. Sox played Prodigy Prospect 16 on Sat­ur­day, with re­sults com­ing in Mon­day’s edi­tion.
