On Friday, Bryant’s Logan Grant, recently pitching a nohitter, would hold Bozeman to one hit in the 9-0 win. Grant also walked one in the shutout, striking out nine in five complete innings.

The Black Sox (9-4) took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning when leadoff man Noah Davis singled to start and stole second before a strikeout and fly out ensued. Jake Wright walked before Davis took third on a wild pitch and scored on an error on the same play for the 1-0 lead after one.

After Grant set down his sixth straight to open the game on the mound, the Black Sox got back to work offensively in the second inning. Ryan Riggs walked, Coby Greiner doubled and Lawson Speer walked to load the bases. Davis followed with a 2-run single and Logan Catton doubled in two more for the 5-0 lead after two.

Gage Stark doubled to start the bottom of the third and later scored on a wild pitch for the 6-0 lead, and the Sox capped their scoring

Brandon Valley would tie things up the next inning scoring its only earned run of the game on a sacrifice fly, and two walks and an error in the seventh would lead to a walk-off sacrifice fly.
