Hoop Hogs release schedule

FAYETTEVIL­LE – Eighteen home games adorn the Arkansas Razorbacks’ men’s basketball schedule released Tuesday.

New Coach Eric Musselman officially opens his era Nov. 5 at Walton Arena hosting the Rice Owls after the annual Redwhite intrasquad game and two exhibition games against small colleges on October dates yet to be announced.

Arkansas plays its first five games at Walton Arena in Fayettevil­le following the Rice game by hosting North Texas, Nov. 12; Montana, Nov. 16; Texas Southern, Nov. 19; and South Dakota, Nov. 22, before visiting Georgia Tech, Nov. 25 in Atlanta.

The Razorbacks return to Walton for Nov. 30 and Dec. 3 games with Northern Kentucky and Austin Peay, then on Dec. 7 visit Western Kentucky.

Before Christmas, the Razorbacks host Tulsa, Dec. 14, at Walton, break for fall semester final exams then head to North Little Rock and Verizon Arena for a Dec. 21 game against Valparaiso.

Other than hosting TCU Jan. 25 in the SEC/BIG 12 Challenge game at Walton, Arkansas wraps nonconfere­nce Dec. 29 visiting Indiana.

Arkansas opens SEC play hosting Texas A&M, Jan. 4.

The Razorbacks visit LSU Jan. 8 and Ole Miss Jan. 11, then host Vanderbilt, Jan. 15, and Kentucky, Jan. 18.

The remainder of January, the Razorbacks visit

Mississipp­i State, Jan. 22; host TCU, Jan. 25, and go back into the SEC hosting South Carolina, Jan. 29.

The Razorbacks visit Alabama, Feb. 1, host Auburn, Feb. 4, then visit Missouri, Feb. 8, and Tennessee, Feb. 11.

In rematches, the Razorbacks host Mississipp­i State, Feb. 15, and Missouri, Feb. 22, Tennessee, Feb. 26, and LSU, March 4.

On the late season SEC road the Razorbacks visit Florida, Feb. 18, Georgia, Feb. 29, and finish March 7 visiting Texas A&M.
