CON­WAY – The Bryant Lady Hor­nets dropped to 0-7 in the 6A Cen­tral Con­fer­ence af­ter get­ting beaten twice the past week, first fall­ing 3-1 to the North Lit­tle Rock Char­ing Lady Cats on Tues­day in Bryant, and get­ting swept by the de­fend­ing state champs Con­way Lady Wam­pus Cats Thurs­day in Con­way.

Against the Lady Wam­pus Cats (9-6, 6-1 Cen­tral), the Lady Hor­nets (4-10, 0-7) fell 25-16, 25-20 and 25-16 for the sweep.

Bryant ju­nior Made­lyn Hoskins led the Lady

Hor­nets with seven kills against Con­way, with ju­nior Sam­mie Joe Fer­gu­son adding four and sopho­more Olivia Mc­cal­lis­ter with three. Ju­nior Alyssa Her­nan­dez had three aces, while Fer­gu­son

led the way with seven blocks, with se­nior Truli Bates block­ing three.

Ju­nior Jaiyah Jack­son led the way with 14 digs, with se­nior Ella Reynolds adding nine and ju­nior Sam Still with eight. Her­nan­dez and ju­nior Shaylee Carver both had nine as­sists apiece.

Against North Lit­tle Rock on Tues­day, Bryant dropped 25-11 the first set be­fore fight­ing back for a 25-18 win in the sec­ond. But, NLR got the bet­ter of Bryant the next two sets, with the Lady Hor­nets fall­ing 25-15 and 25-19.

Reynolds led Bryant with seven kills vs. NLR, with Bates adding six and Fer­gu­son five. Reynolds and Bates had three aces each, with Jack­son’s 24 digs lead­ing the way. Her­nan­dez had 17, with Rey­olds adding 13.

Carver had 13 as­sists and Her­nan­dez 10.

The Lady Hor­nets will host North­side in Cen­tral play on Tues­day at the Hor­net’s Nest.
