Ralph E. Holder Sr.

Ralph E. Holder Sr., 84, of Ben­ton, passed away

Thurs­day, Oct. 3, and went to be with the Lord. He was born Aug. 5, 1935, to the late M. C. (Buddy) Holder and Berta A. Burks Holder.

He at­tended Ben­ton Public Schools and grad­u­ated with the Class of 1953. At an early age, he worked for the Vic­tory The­ater and ran the pro­jec­tor. Later, he would work for the United States Post Of­fice. First, as a city let­ter car­rier and then a ru­ral car­rier. Af­ter he re­tired Ralph, could be found va­ca­tion­ing at the lake with Ann and friends. Ralph was a Ma­son and a Chris­tian with a strong un­wa­ver­ing faith that God’s way was the only way. He was a mem­ber of Holland Chapel Bap­tist Church for 50 years and First Bap­tist of Ben­ton for 11 years.

Ralph was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents; and one brother, Norman Holder.

His wife and true com­pan­ion of 62 years, Ann Hobbs Holder, sur­vives him. He is also sur­vived by two sons, Ralph E. Holder Jr. (Ed­die), of Horse­shoe Bend, Arkansas, and Don Holder, of Ben­ton; four grand­chil­dren, Kee­ley Cul­ver and hus­band, Lance, of Ben­ton, Michael Holder, of Keo, Hunter Holder, of Ben­ton, and Kelsey Holder, of Lonoke; a great-grand­daugh­ter, Delilah Cul­ver, of Ben­ton; a great-grand­son on the way; a sis­ter, Vir­ginia Du­vall and hus­band, Wil­son, of Tull; seven nieces; three neph­ews; and many cousins.

Fu­neral ser­vice will be held at 2 p.m. Mon­day, Oct. 7, with vis­i­ta­tion be­ing held an hour prior at Roller-bal­lard Fu­neral Home, lo­cated at 306 S. Main St. in Ben­ton.

Burial will fol­low at Fair­play Ceme­tery in Ben­ton. Of­fi­ci­at­ing the ser­vice will be Bro. Kim Ham­mer and Dr. Rick Grant.

Floyd Lee Todd

Floyd Lee Todd, 69, of Ben­ton, passed away Wed­nes­day, Oc­to­ber 2. He was born Jan. 23, 1950, in Fairfield, Cal­i­for­nia, to the late Dewey C. and Lu­cille Broudrick Todd. Floyd was a sheet metal worker for the Lit­tle Rock Sheet Metal Com­pany for many years. He at­tended Grape Chapel Church of God in Ben­ton.

Floyd is sur­vived by his wife, Genna Gae Todd, of Ben­ton; a son, Travis Todd, of Ben­ton; two broth­ers, Bobby Todd and Dewey Todd, both of Cal­i­for­nia; a grand­daugh­ter, Tay­lor Natalie Todd; and a daugh­ter-in-law, Chan­dra Cox of Ben­ton.

A me­mo­rial grave­side ser­vice will be held at 11 a.m. Thurs­day, Oct. 10, at Dey­oung Pav­il­ion, be­hind Grape Chapel Church, on Arkansas 298, with John Baxley of­fi­ci­at­ing.
