Benton Street Committee to discuss grant Monday

The Benton Street and Drainage committee will discuss a grant opportunity during its meeting Monday evening.

First up on the short agenda will be a resolution regarding a TAP Grant for River St.

According to the Arkansas Department of Transportation, Transportation Alternative Program Grants are a reimbursement grant program. The grants are an 80/20 split with the 80 percent being covered by a federal share and the 20 percent match will be required from the eligible sponsor. Use of in-kind are not permitted for TAP projects.

The committee will also hold a discussion of lighting within the city limits.

The meeting will begin at 6:20 p.m. in the council chambers at the Benton Municipal Complex. Social distancing measures will be in place and masks are required to enter.
