Matthew ‘Matt’ Allen Lawrence
Matthew “Matt” Allen Lawrence, 34, of Benton, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 20. He was born April 23, 1986, in Benton. Matt worked for Kason Construction where he was a journeyman plumber and was a member of Lee’s Creek Hunting Club.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert and Elsie Lawrence and Arthur and Gwendolyn Lyon; and a nephew, Wyatt Lawrence.
He is survived by his wife, Jessica Lawrence; two daughters, Allissa and Emalee Lawrence; his parents, Allen and Glenis Lawrence; two brothers, Brent Lawrence (Kayla) and David Lawrence (Natalie); seven nieces and nephews, Brayden, Audrey, Finley, Karley, Israel, Isaac and Eden Rose Lawrence; and many close friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, at Ashby Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, at Mt. Harmony Cemetery. Bro. Kim Hammer will be officiating.

Family Comments: Matt was definitely one of a kind. He was loved by so many and will be missed. Matt loved his family and friends, especially his two beautiful daughters. He had the most infectious smile and always had those around him laughing. Matt had a passion for hunting and fishing, which is what you could find him doing when he wasn’t working. His memory will live on in our hearts forever. He is now in the comfort of the arms of Jesus.
