Bauxite salutes honor graduates
During the Bauxite High School Class of 2021 graduation, several students were named honor graduates for the academic accomplishments. The class of 2021 has received scholarship offers with a potential value of $1,417,450 over four years. From these offers, they have chosen to accept, scholarships totaling $701,450

•Kate Duncan, is the daughter of Mary Michal and Jason Duncan. She plans to attend the University of Arkansas Rich Mountain, majoring in general studies. She is a member of National Honor Society and has participated in Miner band, Lady Miner soccer and basketball. Duncan wore the gold medallion for valedictorian, the silver stole for being a honor graduate, the silver cord for college prep, the double gold cord for AP, and the white stole as a member of National Honor Society. She has been offered the Board of Visitor’s Academic Scholarship and the Max H. Pearson Foundation Endowment Scholarship from the University of Arkansas Rich Mountain.
•Ethan Matthews, is the son of Michael and
Kristi Matthews. He plans to attend the University of Central Arkansas, majoring in finance. He is a member of Bauxite Christian Council, National Honor Society, Geyer Springs First Baptist Church Youth Ministry, and has participated in Miner baseball.
