Dorris Jean Cook, 91, of Bauxite, went to be with the Lord on July 14, 2021.

She was born on Feb. 8, 1930, to John Hollis and Audrey (Hickman) Heer.

Dorris worked at the Benton District Court for over 19 years. She was a member of Vimy Ridge Immanuel Baptist Church and Eastern Star of Mabelvale. She loved her family and was a wonderful wife and mother.

Preceding Dorris in death are her husband for 43 years, Julian Cook; son, Jarvis Cook; daughter, Deborah White; father, John Hollis Heer; mother, Audrey Heer; and grandson, Jeffrey Linton.

Dorris leaves behind to cherish her memory daughters, Judy K. and Kenneth Ward, of Florien, Louisiana, Linda and Jim Hogue, of Cabot, Karen and Phillip Gardner, of Haskell, and Shirley Cook of Prattsvill­e; son, Julian Cook Jr. and Gail, of Bauxite; 13 grandchild­ren; 22 great-grandchild­ren; 12 great-great-grandchild­ren; and many special friends and loved ones who love Dorris dearly and will miss her always.

Special thanks to Hospice and Christina Light for the wonderful care they have provided Dorris.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July

20, at Smith-benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas. Funeral service, officiated by Pastor John Casey Sr., will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 21 at Vimy Ridge Immanuel Baptist Church, 12214 Germania Road in Alexander, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park with Julian Cook Jr., Julian Cook III,

Kenneth Ward, Austin Cook, Tim Linton and Philip Gardner assisting as pallbearer­s.
