Phyllis Suzanne Kidd
Phyllis Suzanne Kidd, 63, of Benton, passed away Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022. She was surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bob and Arline Hammett; sister, Cindy Thomas; and daughter, Amy, born sleeping.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, James Kidd; son Christopher
Kidd; daughter, Robin Kidd; stepsons,
Brian and Travis; sister, Fran Birdwell
(Don); niece, Angie Birdwell; nephew,
Bryan Birdwell; niece, Paige Keracik; brother-in-law, Mark Kidd (Jennifer); niece, Allison Covington (James); and her sweet kitties - Harvey Xavier, Martin Ulysses, Quincy Theodore, Winslow Washington; puppy, Priscilla
Rose; grandkitties, Nibbles, Grayson, ND; and bearded dragons, Matilda and Pico.
A Christian, she was a lifelong Baptist, accomplished ceramicist, beloved homemaker, houseplant and landscaping enthusiast, comedic substitute teacher, Benton Band booster, and a sweet helper around the community.
The family would like to extend a thanks to Saline Memorial Hospital, including her doctors, nurses (both local and travel), and CNAS in the ICU and
5th floor with special recognition of Nurses Amy and Rebecca, and nursing assistant, Delisa, who went above and beyond to care for her in her final days and hours.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29 at Ashby Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Saline County Humane Society, and The Wright Ranch Rescue (Tampa, FL).
