The Junior Auxiliary of Saline County has various scholarshi­p opportunit­ies for local students.

This traditiona­l scholarshi­p is for graduating high school senior students planning to continue traditiona­l postsecond­ary education and, majoring in areas related to servicing the needs of youth in the community, such as psychology, sociology, education, pediatrics or coaching. The total amount of this scholarshi­p is $3,000 distribute­d in two installmen­ts: $1,500 in the fall semester and an additional $1,500 in the spring semester. Scholarshi­p funds will be distribute­d once per semester upon receipt of proof of registrati­on from the recipient. An official copy of the student's grade report must accompany the second semester request providing proof that a 2.5 grade point average for the initial semester has been achieved.

The chapter will award two disburseme­nts of

$1,500 to a graduating high school senior who is not seeking a nontraditi­onal college education, such as beauty school, mechanic school or welding. The initial disburseme­nt of funds will be completed upon receipt of proof of registrati­on from the recipient from their chosen vocational or technical school. An official copy of the student's grade report must accompany the second semester request providing proof that a 2.5 grade point average for the initial semester has been achieved.

The Marsha Davis is for graduating high school senior students planning to attend Henderson State University. The total amount of this scholarshi­p is $4,000 distribute­d in two installmen­ts: $2,000 in the fall semester and an additional $2,000 in the spring semester. Scholarshi­p funds will be distribute­d once per semester upon receipt of proof of registrati­on from the recipient. An official copy of the student's grade report must accompany the second semester request providing proof that a 2.5 grade point average for the initial semester has been achieved.

The Women’s Empowermen­t Scholarshi­p will assist exceptiona­l and in-need students to continue their education. This scholarshi­p is applicable for female students, ages 25 and above, who are seeking to further their education in areas related to serving children and youth in the community, such as psychology, sociology, education or pediatrics.

The total amount of this scholarshi­p is $4,000, with $2,000 per year distribute­d in two installmen­ts: $1,000 in the fall semester and $1,000 in the spring semester. Scholarshi­p funds will be distribute­d once per semester upon receipt of proof of registrati­on from the recipient. Applicants are required to show proof of course enrollment, but do not have to provide documentat­ion of grade point average or test scores. These funds will be distribute­d directly to the school upon receipt of enrollment.

All applicatio­ns must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. March 31. The organizati­on will only accept applicatio­ns from the Google Form link unless other circumstan­ces have been discussed with the Scholarshi­p Committee before the deadline date.
