Name:

Why did you pursue the position you are running for?

I love serving people and this is wonderful opportunity to continue to serve saline County at a greater capacity. I’ve been passionate about service of people my whole life, and this is the direction God is calling me at this point in my life.

What prior experience do you have that is applicable to this position? How do you plan to use this experience?

I have been elected for two terms as Saline County Justice of the Peace, District #9. This has allowed me the opportunity to work with all Saline County elected officials, understand how each office works together to serve the residents of Saline County. Being an elected official means working hard for the people that put me in this position and to be a good steward of their resources. My experience over the past 4 years will help me tremendously.

What plans do you have to improve Saline County/ your district?

My plan to help improve Saline County begins with improving transparency and accountability to all Saline County residents. Each taxpayer deserves to know exactly where their personal property and real estate taxes ae going, who’s spending their money, how much and why. Our current website is pretty vague and doesn’t supply much detail. While it does provide a “high level” look, I would like to provide a more detailed view for each district. I believe each taxpayer wants to know and should know this information, after all it’s their money. The next opportunity I would like to address is related to serving those who work in the tax collectors office as well as those who come to our office needing help or assistance or simply paying taxes. Customer and employee service must be a focal point. Creating a culture that treats residents and co-workers like family.

Why should you get the people’s vote/ What makes you a better choice than your opponent?

What separates me from my opponent is my experience serving as an elected official the past 2 terms, which includes my involvement and work on the Quorum Court. Doing so has allowed me to understand how each office supports our residents as well as giving me insight into the county budget process. I have worked hard to represent the people of Saline County for the past 4 years and if elected, I will continue to work hard for Saline County for 4 more years.
