Movie: Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

More than 20 years after the adventure comedy- fantasy “Jumanji” blew the roof off the box office, this 2017 sequel follows some teenagers who find themselves whisked into the world of what is now a video game, where they play as their chosen grown-up avatars, trying to overcome the game’s magical power and win their release to return home. Dwayne Johnson stars as Indiana Jones-style archaeologist Smolder Bravestone; the other avatars are played by Karen Gillan, Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Nick Jonas.
Movie: Twisted Sister LIFE 7 p.m.
Played by Mena Suvari, Emily seemingly has it all but everything falls apart when Lily (Joy Nash) shows up on her doorstep claiming to be her half-sister. When Emily is poisoned, husband Kyle (Mark Famiglietti) blames Lily but Emily suspects Kyle.
Movie: Dead for a Dollar SHOW 7 p.m.
While searching for a missing woman, a famed bounty hunter runs into his sworn enemy, a professional gambler and outlaw that he had sent to prison years before, in this western drama. Christoph Waltz, Willem Dafoe and Rachel Brosnahan star.
American Masters AETN (2) 8 p.m.
The short series “In the Making” looks at emerging cultural icons and their journeys to becoming masters of their artistic disciplines. This latest installment focuses on opera singer J’nai Bridges and country artist Rissi Palmer.
Movie: Network TCM 8:45 p.m.
In this lauded satire, veteran news anchorman Howard Beale (Peter Finch) discovers that he’s being put out to pasture, and he’s none too happy about it. After threatening to shoot himself on live television, instead he launches into an angry televised rant, which turns out to be a huge ratings boost for the UBS network. This stunt allows ambitious producer Diana Christensen (Faye Dunaway) to develop even more outrageous programming, a concept that she takes to unsettling extremes.
