CJCOHN’S Fall Yard Sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, at 103 E. Elm St. in Benton. Anyone may rent a 10x10 lot for a minimum $25 donation. Spaces are limited. Don’t delay to secure a lot. Vendors keep proceeds of their sales. Vendors may set up on Oct. 20 from 5 to 7 p.m. or on the day of sale from 6 to 7:30 a.m. All vendors must remove unsold items after sale ends. The Monster Mash Special Needs Pageant will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, in the Bryant High School auditorium.

Sponsored by the Junior Auxiliary of Saline County, the pageant invites special needs students in grades K-12 to join in a free, crown-all pageant. Participan­ts are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes. For more informatio­n, go to www. jasalineco­unty.org.

Benton Parks and Recreation will host the first Jeepers Halloween 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, Oct. 21. The event starts with race check-in at noon. The Fun Run starts at 1 p.m. and the 5K starts at 2 p.m. Runners are encouraged to suit up in their best Halloween costume to compete for prizes. Cost is $25 until Oct. 4, $30 after Oct. 4 and $35 on day of race.

The Jeepers Halloween Treat Fest will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21. The event features the costume fun run and 5K, loads of candy for the kids, pumpkin bowling, bounce houses and a decorated Jeep display.

The 12th annual Arkansas Paranormal Expo, a benefit for Mcarthur Museum of Arkansas Military History, will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, and Sunday, Oct. 29, at the Mcarthur Museum, 503 E. Ninth, in Little Rock. Cost is $10 per day, children under 12 are free. Due to the increased interest of the paranormal the Arkansas Paranormal Expo was founded to give people the opportunit­y to experience keynote speakers and local experts on subjects such Bigfoot, UFO’S, Ghost Hunting, Psychic Phenomena and new this year Exorcisms. Since 2011 we have raised over $50,000.00 for the museum.

The Saline County Coat Closet is holding its 19th annual

Coat Drive. Donations will be accepted from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 2, at the Gene Moss Building in Tyndall Park, 913 E. Sevier St., in Benton.

The coat closet needs coats to help those within our community. If you have any coats, sweaters, hats or gloves of all sizes to donate please bring them to the park on Nov. 2. Distributi­on will be held from

7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, at the Gene Moss Community Building.

The public may receive coat donations. Choose outerwear that they made need to stay warm this winter. Coats are free to families and there is no income requiremen­t for picking up coats. One coat per family member.

The Saline County Coat Closet began its first coat drive in 2005 to help residents in the community in need of warmth in the winter months.

To donate clothing to the coat drive, the public may drive-by or drop off in the lobby their coat donations on Nov. 2. Sponsored with assistance from Junior Auxiliary of
