Lucy Worsley in “Agatha Christie: Lucy Worsley on the Mystery Queen”

In this 1947 Christmas classic, a man going by the name of Kris Kringle (Edmund Gwenn) fills in as Santa for Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. When he proves popular, Kringle claims he is the real Santa Claus, prompting a court case to determine the truth.

Every year the White House goes all in celebrating the season with decorations that must be seen to be believed. From the Blue Room tree to the bi-partisan gingerbread house, HGTV gives viewers a rundown of the decorations dazzling America’s first house.

The Elf on the Shelf: Sweet Showdown FOOD 7 p.m.

It seems the elves are having some trouble with Santa’s sleigh, so Duff needs the teams to create a sleigh design that will blow away Mr. Kringle. The teams then build clever snow forts for a snowball fight between judges Kardea Brown and Ashley Holt.

In the second of this three-part miniseries, host Lucy Worsley takes a look back on the mystery surrounding Agatha Christie’s shocking disappearance for a few days in 1926 and how it would influence her mental state in the years following.
