Terry Joe Stubbs passed away peacefully at home after a brief illness on Jan. 22, 2024. His wife Judith “Kay” was lovingly by his side and her niece Judith Ann French.

Terry was born in Benton on Aug.

20, 1935, and was a graduate of Bryant

High School. Terry was one of the most remarkable entreprene­urs in the food brokerage business in Denver, Colo.

He lead an extraordin­ary life as a family man, an entreprene­ur, and a treasured friend to many. Terry had an incredible work ethic and a strong moral compass.

Many of Terry’s business partners and acquaintan­ces would say his hard work, determinat­ion, tenacity, and stamina were legendary. Terry met his wife Kay just short of 15 years ago and were married almost 13 years. Terry brought so much love into Kay’s life and he was a source of tremendous joy. Before Kay, Terry was married to Beverly Elaine and she brought two girls into the marriage. Terry adopted the two girls, Deborah Ann and Sandy Kay.

Preceding him in death sadly were his wife, Beverly, in 2006; his two daughters, Sandy in 2006 and Deborah in 2021; his parents, Kenny and

Gladis Stubbs; his baby sister, Brenda, and his brother Bobby Hugh Stubbs (9-24-1934 – 5-24-2011), Bobby’s wife Elizabeth Ann Rundel Stubbs (9-301938 – 12-25-2007) and their son, Phillip Kenny Stubbs (8-31-1959 – 3-20-2011).

Terry is survived by his wife, Kay; her two daughters, Megan Aburas and Perri Davis; Megan’s husband, Michael Aburas; and two grandsons, Michael Aburas and Connor Richards; his granddaugh­ter, Nikki Gaudio; her spouse, Shawn Gaudio; and two great-grandchild­ren Jacob and Allison; his niece, surviving daughter of Bobby and Elisabeth, Francine Remacle, her husband France Peter Remacle; their children and grandchild­ren, Leah Elisabeth Remacle, Nikki Lynn Mccomsey, married to Zachary Mccomsey, their son Noah Charles, Zachary Martin Remacle married to Jessica Stoffler Remacle, their two children Emma Lynn and Michael Francis, Matthew Peter Remacle married to Lindsay Roussin Remacle, their two children Bobbi Elisabeth and Patxi King, Abigail Marie Remacle; two cousins Martha Elisabeth Moore and Susie Rozell and their extended families, and Beverly’s niece and nephew Bob and Sue Bushacher.

Terry’s humble demeanor of kindness, generosity, and respect for others was felt by his family, friends, employees, and customers. He was an inspiratio­n to many. He will be dearly missed. Kris Beckner and Dee Sanford (Phillip); honorary daughter, Siouxsun Butler (Stephen); grandchild­ren, Ryan Beckner, Holly Dee Isom (Keith), and Karie Sanford (Alex Kingston); great-grandchild­ren, Raylynn Childress, Korbin Beckner, Laci Thomas and Evie Rose Beckner; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

A Celebratio­n of Life will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17, at Smith-benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St. Benton, AR 72015.
