One epic walk

DETERMINED WOMAN WALKS ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO RAISE FUNDS FOR HOMELESS PETS

-

After knee reconstruction surgery, Becky McCrea vowed that when she was fully healed, she would do something big. And she did. By the time she walked into the Best Friends Lifesaving Center in Los Angeles, she had logged nearly 2,500 miles — on foot.

Setting out from her home in Butler, Pennsylvania, Becky walked all the way to L.A. with the goal of raising one dollar for every mile, in order to support Best Friends. It took five months, and

Becky was accompanied by her adorable dog, Arnie (and followed by a support vehicle). In the end, she smashed her fundraising goal, raising more than $6,500. To know that Becky is an amazing person doesn’t require us to, ahem, walk a mile in her shoes. We just get it.
