Etch A Sketchin’ pets
NO PENCILS OR PAINTBRUSHES REQUIRED FOR THIS ARTIST’S WORK
Clicquot is named after a fancy French champagne, so it’s no wonder that the handsome buff-colored cat felt right at home during a portrait sitting (as one does). While she’s most definitely fancy, let it be known that she’s not a snob. Clicquot didn’t look down her nose at the fact that her portrait was being created not via brushstroke, but on an Etch A Sketch. Yes, an Etch A Sketch — that childhood toy we loved back in the day.
It helps that the artist, Britt West, is a master at her craft. Britt, who lives in Salt Lake
City, stopped by the Best Friends Lifesaving Center to donate her talents in support of pet adoption by sketching a few pets, including Clicquot. Britt must have a special touch indeed because not long after she sketched her, Clicquot was adopted. As for Clicquot, we have no doubt that she’s saying, “Cheers!”
