When Beejay’s photo was posted on Morris Animal Refuge’s Facebook page, the 26-pound cat became a big (no pun intended) sensation. They weren’t kidding around with a photo caption that read: “OMG, big boi Mr. B is a CHONK.” (For those of you unfamiliar with online lingo, a “chonk” is a chubby cat.) The “jumbo-sized package” of fluff and love received more than 3,000 adoption applications and quickly found a home. He was even featured on a promotional shirt that contributed to raising nearly $13,000 for the Philadelphia shelter. That’s what we call a huge success.
