Along for the ride:
The SPCA of Brevard Adoption Center in Florida is no library, but its new Borrowed Buddies program does allow people to “check out” a shelter dog for a day of fun. And it’s not only individuals who are participating. A local business, Slagle Automotive, also “borrowed” one of the SPCA’s dogs, a pooch named Titan who had been at the shelter for six months. Titan only had to visit Slagle Automotive twice before some customers fell in love and adopted him. The shop hopes that Titan is the first of many dogs they can help.
