A trip down memory lane

Join Best Friends in taking a nostalgic look back to 1984, the year that a group of animal-loving people created Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. With very little money and some construction skills, they set to work building a home for animals who had nowhere else to go. What they started would become the largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals in the country, and a nationwide movement to save the lives of homeless pets.

This second limited-edition release of the Best Friends 1984 collection celebrates more than 35 years of saving lives, with original Sanctuary drawings by Best Friends co-founder Steven Hirano. The collection is a nod to the inception of a dream — that, together, we can end the killing of dogs and cats in shelters nationwide.
