Empty kennels, full hearts:

Minneapolis Animal Care and Control experienced something most shelter staff only dream of. They adopted out every single animal in their facility and had to post a sign on the front door that read: “All animals have been adopted. No animals available.” When they hosted a Clear the Shelter event, with adoption fees waived, roughly 300 Minnesotans stood in line hoping to adopt. Dozens of dogs, cats and other animals found homes. The people who left empty-handed were given a voucher for 50% off an adoption fee, redeemable through the end of the year.
