Feed the kitty:
Typically, the compassionate folks who perform trap-neuter-return use their own resources to get community cats fixed. In Florida, however, Miami-Dade County Animal Services is making things easier. Not only are they offering sterilization and vaccination services at no cost for the county’s free-roaming felines, they’re actually paying participants for their efforts. The Tip the Trapper initiative offers $15 per cat each time someone brings a feline to the shelter for spay/neuter surgery and then returns the fixed cat to the place where he or she was found. That’s what we call a win-win.
