EMBED PROGRAM

I WAS SO EXCITED to read the story “What’s Next in Texas” (September/October) about embedding Best Friend staff in temporary leadership roles in Texas shelters. While our no-kill rescue group, Save the Animals Rescue Team II, has expanded into the South to rescue more dogs, I could not help but feel extreme sorrow to see the ongoing high kill rates in California and Texas.
