She’s all ears

IF THERE EVER WAS A time to be careful about what you say at Parrot Garden, it’s now. Riley may seem a little shy as she quietly sways from side to side on her favorite yellow swing, but she is always listening. And she’s a fast learner.

After only a day of sharing a room with a pair of macaws from Hawaii, Riley picked up on their favorite greeting: “Aloha.” Caregivers often hear her familiar voice down the hall, repeating something they’ve just said. But as soon as Riley sees someone watching her, she goes right back to silently swinging — and listening in. So, no gossiping within Riley’s earshot!
