SWEET SAM LANDED IN a rural shelter as a super senior. The Best Friends team in Salt Lake City took him in, believing that the snowy white kitty could still have a few happy years to live. Sam went home with longtime foster volunteer Robin Reddy and settled right in. Robin and the Best Friends team tried matching him up with potential adopters, but it just wasn’t meant to be. Sam was so content at Robin’s house — even playing with her two cats, who are 18 years younger — that Robin couldn’t bear to have him relocate to a new home. So, she adopted him. Now Sam is enjoying his golden years right where he’s meant to be. At home.
