New heights for Everest

-

EVEREST LOVES PEOPLE and all the good things that come with them: laps, treats, wand toys. But this kitty with a mountain of a moniker used to be a bit of a wallflower.

Because her vision is slightly affected from being born without third eyelids (the membrane in the inner corner of the eye), Everest is cautious with new people. She also didn’t like competing with her feline roommates for attention, so she chose to watch from the sidelines and patiently wait her turn.

It’s amazing, though, what a change in environment can do. After Everest moved into her own private room, her confidence hit new heights. (Get it?) She greets visitors with a never-ending purr and takes full advantage of all the new laps that are available. As far as happiness goes, Everest has reached the peak. (Sorry, we couldn’t resist.)
