Q&A WITH LUCAS

-

Q: What would you tell someone who is considering fostering?

A: Definitely do it. The fun makes up for the work. It’s so fun always having kitties around.

Q: What is the very best part about fostering?

A: There’s always a kitty to hold and pet. Also, you’re saving an animal from just sitting in a cage all day. Seeing Romeo evolve with people — how he was scared to touch a person and now all he wants is attention — that’s cool.

Q: What have you learned from the experience of fostering?

A: The kittens are hard to take care of, but it’s super fun. It’s rewarding to see them get adopted. They might start out sick and need medication, but then 30 days later, they’re all big, strong and friendly, and they get to go live with nice families.

Q: What is your number-one tip for someone fostering for the first time?

A: Give the cats time and be gentle.
