For a char­coal or gas grill: Grill 8 hot dogs or smoked chicken, kiel­basa, or bratwurst sausage links, cov­ered, over medium heat 3 to 7 min­utes or un­til heated through, turn­ing oc­ca­sion­ally. Re­move from grill. If de­sired, place 8 split hot dog buns, cut sides down, on grill rack. Grill 1 to 2 min­utes or un­til lightly browned. Serve hot dogs as di­rected in in­di­vid­ual recipes.
