1 Fold tis­sue paper sheet into even ac­cor­dion pleats, then into one of the two folds shown (I). 2 Wear­ing gloves, squeeze each food col­or­ing into a sep­a­rate bowl. 3 Dip a cor­ner or edge into it. Pinch tightly to stop color from bleed­ing. Blot with paper tow­els. 4 Re­peat step 3 with dif­fer­ent col­ors un­til you achieve the look you want.

5 Care­fully un­fold, lay be­tween two dry sheets of tis­sue paper, and press with warm iron. Watch the video at BHG.com/DyedPaper.
