The im­pres­sive-look­ing bas­ket on top of this choco­late-co­conut mar­bled cake is ac­tu­ally quite sim­ple to cre­ate with a bas­ket-weave pip­ing tip. Stir in a lit­tle co­coa to color and fla­vor a por­tion of the brown but­ter frost­ing, then pipe short ver­ti­cal lines over long hor­i­zon­tal ones to cre­ate the bas­ket (how-to, page 130). Tuck egg-shape sugar cook­ies into the top of the bas­ket and use toasted co­conut flakes for the “grass.”
