Troy Lynn Hyden, 57, of Big Spring, died Thursday, June 13, 2019.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2019, at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Church of Christ in Coahoma with Eddy Pitchford officiatin­g. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park.

Troy was born March 1, 1962, in Big Spring. He married Laurie Desrosiers on March 21, 1998, in Big Spring, Texas. Troy was a lifetime resident of Howard County and Big Spring and had farmed all his life in Howard County with his family. He also did landscapin­g. Troy also played drums for Ben Nix. The most important thing in Troy’s life was his faith and family. He was an avid John Deere Collector, and he also loved to fish. Troy also loved western swing music and classic country music. He loved his 10 cats and one dog. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Coahoma.

Troy is survived by his spouse Laurie Hyden of Big Spring; a brother: Joe Hyden (Barbara) of Huntsville and their children: Christy Mayo (Eddie) of Spring, Steven Hyden (Heather) of Idaho; a brother: Robert Hyden of Lubbock and his children: Charlie Rodriquez, Travis Rodriquez and Robby Wagoner, all of Lubbock; a sister: Reba Quillen of Big Spring and her children: Tommy Hounshell (Emily) of Greeley, CO, Krista Quillen of Buena Vista, CO, Sara Mccall (Eric) of Big Spring and Rebecka Edwards (Weldon) of Big Spring; a brotherin-law: Larry Quillen of Buena Vista, CO; sisterin-law: Christine Desrosiers of Big Spring and her children: Bonnie Ramon (Greg) of Oscar, OK, Nathan Ramon (Tonya) of Snyder, Brenda Ramon of Florida; a sister-in-law: Mary Zitterkopf (Brent) of Big Spring and their children: Brooke Wells (Spencer) of Lubbock and Blake Zitterkopf of Big Spring and numerous great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father: W. M. Hyden, his mother: Dorothy Newby, an infant brother, two sisters: Glenda and Eva and a greatniece Summer Rain.

Pallbearer­s will be Ronnie Ward, Billy Sullivan, Patric Robinson, Jody Nix, Jo Best and Edward Kennemer.
