The Permian Basin Events 9th annual Moonlight Rave Run had the “best turnout ever”
BIG SPRING – Permian Basin Events, with the help of their sponsors, held their 9th annual Moonlight Rave Run at scenic mountain Friday night. With over one hundred runners and walkers from around the area showing up to take place in the run, it was the biggest turnout they have ever had according to event co-coordinator Cherise Felty. The Moonlight Rave Run started when Craig Felty and park manager Ron Alton used to run at night and fell in love with the views and the trails at the park under the moon glow. Now nine years later with over one hundred participants, many more people have got to share in that love. If you missed Friday's Rave Run don't despair, there will be two more Rave Runs at Scenic Mountain this summer. The next run will be on July 12 and the final run will be on August 16. Craig and Cherise have planned the runs to coincide as closely as possible to the full moon so the runners get the safest and best experience the Park and the Run has to offer. So if you are looking for a nice cool way to get in a run while taking in breathtaking views and great company then look no further than the Permian Events Moonlight Rave Runs, they are a great event for individuals or the whole family.
