Grand jury hands down 23 indictments

Murder, vehicle arson, sexual abuse among charges

The 118th District Court’s Grand Jury recently indicted 23 individuals on felony charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, murder, burglary of a building, arson of vehicle, and aggravated sexual assault/child.

The cases were presented to the Grand Jury and the indictments were issued on June 11. Those indicted were:

• Ashton Lou-rissa Akin, 26, of 129 Jonesboro Rd., for abandonment/endanger child.

• Abelardo Aranda Arreola, Jr., 51, of 209 E. 4th Apt. #4, Del Rio, for robbery.

• Clint Brandon Bollier, Jr., 30, currently a resident of the Howard County Jail, for theft of property between $2,500 and $30,000 (x5); unauthorized use of a vehicle (x2); burglary of a habitation.

• Victoria Hannabass, 31, currently a resident of the Howard County Jail, for fraud use/possession of identifying info and burglary of a building.

• Christopher Isaiah Hinojos, 21, a resident of the Howard County Jail, for unauthorized use of vehicle (x2), and aggravated robbery.

• Bluford Allen Jones, 37, of 1601 Stadium, for arson of vehicle - insured.

• Miguel Enrique Juarez, 32, of 306 Denton, evading arrest/vehicle and unauthorized use of vehicle.

• Robert Dale Keneson, 43, currently a resident of the Howard County Jail, for possession of controlled substance less than one gram.

• Chance Ray Lang, 33, of 2515 March Circle, for unauthorized use of vehicle, evading arrest/vehicle, and aggravated assault with deadly weapon (x2).

• Elvis Eugene Lang, Jr., 20, currently a resident of the Howard County Jail, for aggravated assault with deadly weapon.

• Robert Ulyssess Lee, 33, of 2005 Mosslake Road, for continuous sexual abuse/child.

• Javier Loredo, 29, of 1602 Hwy 176 #6, for possession of controlled substance between one gram and four grams.

• Robert Adam Mata, 33, currently a resident of the Howard County Jail, for burglary of a building (x2).

• Tomi Jo Mcpherson, 23, currently a resident of the Howard County Jail, for evading arrest with vehicle and possession of controlled substance less than one gram.

• Jose Alfredo Melendez, 37, of 711 S. Aylesford, for driving while intoxicated third or more.

• Raul Mendez, Jr., 40, currently a resident of the Howard County Jail, for murder.

• David Grijalba Morales, Jr., 25, currently a resident of the Howard County Jail, for aggravated robbery (x2) and delivery of controlled

substance between four grams and 200 grams.

• Eric Lee Olivas, 17, currently a resident of the Howard County Jail, for attempted burglary of a habitation.

• Theodore Rios, 50, currently a resident of the Howard County Jail, for injury to a child and harassment of public servant.

• Kieth Samuel Sanchez, 18, currently a resident of the Howard County Jail, for aggravated sexual assault/child.

• Michelle Renee Simmons, 52, of 5706 RR 33, for arson of vehicle – insured.

• Samantha Lynn Stepp, 34, of 2714 Oasis Road, for possession of controlled substance less than one gram.

• Kevon Williams, 18, currently a resdient of the Howard County Jail, for aggravated robbery (x2).

Readers should remember that indictment is not evidence of guilt, and that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
