Forsan ISD Board to appoint School Health Advisory Council
The Forsan ISD Board of Directors will meet in a regular meeting on Monday in the Library on the Junior High/high School campus, located at 411 W. 6th Street, at 6 p.m.
The board will hear a routine agenda overall. As usual the meeting will open to a public comment section, after a call to order has taken place and a quorum has been established. The meeting will begin with the invocation and Pledge, along with recognition of visitors.
As part of the Administrator's Report, the JH/HS Principal and Elementary Principal will deliver their reports, before the Superintendent delivers the district report. An enrollment update will be provided along with information on Board Training: Boardbook. Future agenda items will be up for discussion before the conversation on solar panels begins.
As the pandemic situation continues, Superintendent Randy Johnson will provide a Covid-19 update followed by discussion. The Forsan Board, in a
special meeting this past week, decided to suspend virtual learning for students, unless a medical condition is present or exposure or diagnosis of Covid occurs.
As part of the consent agenda, the board will look to approve minutes from the September meeting, monthly financials – Rev&exp Report, Investment Report, Activity Report and list of bills.
The Board will be looking to appoint a School Health Advisory Council during Monday's meeting. Approval will be given for the 2020-2021 Calendar Change, followed by consideration of a policy update for Incentive for Early Notification of resignation/retirement. A resolution will also be heard regarding wage payments.
The Forsan Board will also look at a nomination for the Howard County Appraisal Board before holding discussion on personnel – additional staff.
