Big Spring Abstract & Title Co., Inc. has been serving the Big Spring area and surrounding cities for 100 years. Reina Cisneros, Attorney/owner of Big Spring Abstract & Title Co., Inc. took ownership of the title company in 2019.
This local title insurance company provides a multitude of services to the Howard County area including performing residential/commercial/ family and land property closings, title search and examinations, issuing title commitments and title policies, landman services, abstracts of title, and fulfilling title insurance needs.
Attorney/owner Reina Cisneros followed her dreams in diving into real estate and law and bought the title company in 2019.
“I really enjoy real estate. I believe it’s so important to make sure people are confident and secure in one of the biggest purchases of their life. I like to provide that confidence and security,” Cisneros said.
Big Spring Abstract & Title Co., Inc. combines the specialized formula of law and real estate in order to provide it’s customers with needed legal council during the property and title buying process. Utilizing this unique business skill, and being located right here in downtown Big Spring, Cisneros and her team can offer the community local legal advice right at the tips of their fingers.
“We are attorney owned and operated. This means we can offer a specialized set of legal, escrow and title services that provide our clients and customers with a competitive advantage. With over a 100 years in business, Big Spring Abstract & Title Co., Inc. can delve into records dated back from long ago in order to provide the most meticulous and factual information to its customers as possible.
Additionally, our title plant dates back to sovereignty of the soil when the original land deeds were granted by the State of Texas. We have a computerized title plant that is updated daily to supplement our tract books to give the best and most accurate service possible,” Cisneros said.
With the current pandemic creating troubles to all small businesses, Cisneros mentions slight downturn in business, however, being in the real estate industry, clients are still looking to buy and sell property during this altered state of the country.
“Our business has slowed down a little at the beginning of the pandemic, but people are always looking to buy and sell property and our community is resilient and hardworking. If the realtors are working, we’re working. We also had to find a balance between keeping our staff and clients safe, while still doing business. Every year we try to do better than the year before, but everything is
dependent upon the market and the community,” she said.
Looking towards the future, Cisneros and her team are hoping for business to turn back around and become what she knows it can be in Howard County. She allots the success of Big Spring Abstract & Title Co., Inc to the strong and determined community of Howard County.
“We are always open to visiting with people who are interested in our services. We have an amazing staff including Amy Overton, Jaime Sotelo, Elizabeth Williams, and Daun Garrett, who are always eager to help and give advice,” Cisneros said. “We are proud to serve our community. Every bit of our process is done here in Howard County, for Howard County residents, and we try to give back to the community as much as possible since we have such close ties to the community. Without community support, there would be no Big Spring Abstract & Title.”
