The Lady Buffs took to the court Friday evening for a battle against the Coleman Bluecats, and after the four quarters were said and done, the Lady Buffs came out victorious with a 58-44 win to close out the night.

The Lady Buffs came out strong in the first quarter with Spivey, number 3, sinking two 3 pointers, with Evans, number 1, shooting another 3 pointer.

As the buzzer sounded marking the end of the first quarter, the Lady Buffs were in the lead 13-10 over the Bluecats.

As the second quarter rolled in, the Lady Buffs didn't let up. As the battle continued Evans would sink another three pulling the Lady Buffs forward and keeping the momentum rolling. Smith, number 34, was able to add four points to help the team along, after sinking her free throw. The Lady Buffs were able to take advantage with two more points as Spivey headed to the free throw line after being fouled by the Bearcats. The Lady Buffs dominated the second quarter with a total of 15 points. Heading into halftime the score sat at 28-21.

After halftime the two teams headed back onto the court bringing a fresh momentum. The Bearcats hadn't given up hope just yet, but the Lady Buffs weren't easing up and continued to press hard keeping the Bearcats from reaching the goal. For the Bearcats, Allen - number 4 - was the only one who seemed to be able to make the shot count as she earned the next 10 points for the team, bringing the Bearcats to 31 points at the end of the third quarter.

For the final eight minutes the Bearcats rallied together doing their best to get the ball to the basket and making every shot count as the minutes fell off the clock. While the Bearcats were pushing hard, the Lady Buffs were pushing just a little bit harder. For the Lady Buffs, Evans continued her three pointers as she had done all night. With the help of Smith and Phillips, number 30, the Lady Buffs were able to pull off the win in the fourth quarter with 14 points keeping them above the Bearcats 13.

As the final buzzer sounded, the Lady Buffs were able to claim one more victory and reap the benefits of the good things that come from teamwork, determination and good skill on the court.
