-

On Monday, March 8, 2021, Clinton Augustas Treadway, loving father and grandfather, passed away at the age of 79. Clinton was born Nov. 12, 1941 to James Edward and Georgia Marie (Andrews) Treadway in Reno Ohio. His youth was spent assisting in the care of his siblings, taking part in the Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program and also working to assist his family. In 1959, while living in Galesburg Illinois, he came to meet and marry Eva Mae Ford, and together, they would raise two daughters, Toni and Kathy.

Clinton had a passion for physical labor, learning everything about anything, and turning any hobby into an employment gain. His work history beheld a variety of talents, he worked in the Ohio lumber industry, at the Dr Pepper/canada Dry group, he was a commercial fisherman on the Mississippi river, and he began a rabbitry where he built, owned and ran his own slaughterhouse and participated in all the various stages of such, including inspections. He was a jack of all trades and would hold any and all odd-jobs that held the possibility of teaching him more. Aside from his talents, he also pursued many hobbies and interests throughout life. He was an established carpenter, a lifelong member of the Country Music Association, a championship horseshoe player, an avid BINGO player, and member of several bowling leagues. Clinton also enjoyed hunting, tracking, trapping, traveling, and loved fishing!

Upon his wife’s passing in 1998, Clinton joined his daughters and grandchildren in Big Spring Texas. He came to be employed at the Dorothy Garrett Coliseum of Howard College in 2000 and maintained employment until his retirement in 2014. He then spent his time with his family and friends, or traveling. Clinton was a friend to all and knew no strangers, never faltering for those in need.

Clinton is survived by two daughters: Toni Reese of Sand Springs and Kathy Marshall of Shidler Oklahoma; Grandchildren: Marie Evans, Stephanie Rios, Amanda (and spouse) James Fite, Christopher Rios, Samantha Sarmiento and Austin Marshall; Great-grandchildren: Dillon, Clinton, and Sadie Sorrells, Alyssa Wellner, and Amiyah Jackson; Sisters: Ruth Tate and Mary Mcguire; and lifelong friend: Dorothy Paulus.

In addition to his parents, James and Georgia Treadway, Clinton was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Treadway, several siblings, and Great Grandson, Ryan Fite.

The family would like to thank the staff of Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their care and services to Clinton.
