Highlighting Howard Co. business
Helping to brand the community - Flo Lite Graphics
The name may not be new to Big
Spring, but there are some new owners behind the name; Flo Lite Graphics is now owned and operated by Zak and Mackenzie Kelver and managed by Lily Trevino.
"We pride ourselves on being Big Spring's only full-service branding partner," Zak Kelver, co-owner of
Flo Lite, said. "We help businesses discover who they are and create all the branding, marketing, and advertising materials they may need. Our graphic design team team is able to create a brand new image or to give established businesses a branding face-lift."
Flo Lite has been serving Howard County since 1947 and is located at 819 W. Third Street. The company has a graphic design team that can create a new image for new companies or edit an existing design. Whether the business logo is starting with merely an idea, a rough draft or nothing at all, the staff at Flo Lite can help in the process. In addition, they make all kinds of signs from all kinds of materials, including an embroidery department. From screen printing to sublimation to embroidery can be done on hats, scrubs, aprons, robes, purses, and more. For those looking for trophies, business cards, plaques, uniforms, sports gear and more, Flo Lite can most likely help.
"We have a passion for designing and creating. We are business owners and appreciate the value of branding and are excited to partner with other businesses to spread their message," he said. "We have longevity. We have a proven track record of professionalism, high quality products, and our service is outstanding. A business doesn't stick around for 74 years if they have crummy service and low quality products. Our longevity speaks for itself."
Like many other locally owned businesses, Flo Lite didn't escape the pandemic unscathed. At this point, there is some sort of impact to the business front and Flo Lite is no different. The flow of supplies has been altered; items that may have been easy to get in are now often out of stock or may take weeks to be delivered and to ship. The opportunity has been provided to get creative with how and when orders are placed.
Business ownership may not be easy, but if it is a passion that one has, Kelver encourages you to step out and take the leap.
"Do it! Local business is so important. We can save our economy with local business. Get in there and do it, and let us help with branding."
Small businesses are just as important as corporations are, and in small towns, maybe even more impactful. Building business locally is one of the founding pieces of a successful community and business grows as partnerships form and expand. The partnerships can lead to expanded market reach and that is something Flo Lite is experiencing.
Since purchasing Flo Lite, one of the main focuses has been building partnerships. One of the biggest opportunities that has presented itself for the new owners is the opportunity to take over the online store for a big client and begin producing made in Texas products for the organization.
"We are really proud of that achievement and are actively looking for more Texas organizations who need their products produced by Texans," he said. "It feels so good to be employing Texans, providing service to Texans, and making Texas pride products. We couldn't be more proud of that. We love Texas."
He continued, "We are here to serve you. Our purpose is promoting this community in all it does," he said. "We have donated shirts for charity events, and made signs for oilfield companies; we can do it all. Let us know what you are dreaming of and we will make it a reality."
