Mikel Bridge 72, loving husband to his sweet heart, Judy Bridge, whom he met and was married to in May of 1993, passed away November 3, 2021.

Mikel was born in Brownfield, Texas, on October 21, 1949, to Ervin and Virginia Bridge. He attended and graduated from Stanton schools in 1970. Mikel was a loving husband, father, grandfathe­r and great friend. He was rarely to meet a stranger and was sure to always put a smile on your face. Mikel was known for his love of fishing, camping and hunting. He loved the outdoors and was fond of the many fishing trips he accompanie­d on over the years. Mikel lived a full life and always had a great attitude and was more than willing to lend a hand to anybody who needed it.

Mikel is survived by his wife, Judy Bridge of Stanton; one sister, Sandra Whitehead and husband, Gary, of Nemo; two children, Tonya Hilario and husband, Tommy, of Big Spring and Phillip Bridge of Abilene; two stepsons, Garry Don Thompson of Voss, Texas, and J.J. Thompson and wife, Jamie, of Stanton, Texas; grandchild­ren, Taylor and Josh Bridge, Lane Williams, Helena Bridge, Dylon and Devon Thompson and Ashlynn Spencer. Mikel was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Virginia Bridge.

Viewing will be from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday, November 7, 2021, at Gilbreath Funeral Home in Stanton. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, November 8, 2021, at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton. Pallbearer­s will be Lane Williams, Phillip Bridge, Taylor Bridge, Randy Doshier, J.J. Thompson, Isaac Letkeman, Billy Welch, and Tommy Miller.
