Forsan school board meets Monday

Forsan ISD school board will meet at 6 p.m. Monday evening in the board room at 411 W. Sixth Street in Forsan.

Following the opening invocation and Pledge of Allegiance, the board will hear the call to order and establish a quorum.

A time for public comment will be made available, followed by recognitio­n of visitors.

Items of business on the agenda include considerat­ion of a travel bus, and the Administra­tors' Reports, including Junior High/high School Principal Hanna Carter and Elementary Principal Andrew Eudy, as well as Superinten­dent Randy Johnson. The Superinten­dent will report on enrollment, future agenda items, 2022-23 budget planning and out-of-state travel.

The meeting's Consent Agenda consists of four items – minutes of special and regular meetings of Jan. 6, Jan. 10, Jan. 13, Jan.

17 and Jan. 20; monthly financials including the revenue and expense reports, the investment report, the activity report and the list of bills; approval of auditors for 2021-22; and the Safe Return to School Plan.

Personnel items on the agenda include hiring and resignatio­ns; approval of the contract for new Superinten­dent Dane Richardson; and discussion and possible action on moving and temporary housing expenses for the incoming superinten­dent.

After discussion and possible action on personnel issues, the meeting will adjourn.
