County Commission­ers to consider Courthouse chiller Monday

Howard County Commission­ers will hold their regular meeting Monday at 3:30 p.m. in the third-floor courtroom of the Howard County Courthouse, 300 S. Main St.

Following the call to order, Judge Kathryn Wiseman will present an item regarding tax abatement and signatures.

County Treasurer Sharon Adams will present personnel considerat­ions, the Treasurer's Quarterly Report for the first quarter of 2022, and the Treasurer's Monthly Report.

County Auditor Jackie Olson will present invoices, purchase requests, and budget amendments as well as her monthly financial report. Olson will also present an item regarding a warranty on the Courthouse HVAC chiller.

Mike Averette, Justice of the Peace for Precinct 1, Place 2, will present an item relating to personnel considerat­ions in executive session. If the commission­ers decide to take action on the item, they will do so when they return to open session. County Road Engineer Brian Klinksiek will present his regular Roadway Maintenanc­e Update, and County Clerk Brent Zitterkopf will present an item regarding a Merchant Processing Agreement with Merrick Bank for online document sales.
