Westbrook Wildcats baseball team end season with regional semifinal playoff loss to Ira

The Westbrook Wildcats and Ira Bulldogs faced off yesterday in Snyder for a UIL regional semifinal playoff game. These two teams are no strangers to one another as they are district rivals. Throughout district play Ira was dominant, claiming both district wins against the Wildcats. Westbrook was looking to finally upset the Bulldogs in the playoff matchup, but in the end the Bulldogs would continue their dominance.

Ira got off to a fast start with 6-0 lead going into the second inning. From there the Bulldogs never let off the gas. Ira would go on to get the decisive win with a score of 23-0, ending the Wildcats season. Westbrook would finish the season with a 9-3-2 record with all three losses coming from Ira and a third place finish in district. The Ira Bulldogs move on to the regional final game.
