• K3 (0255) “Mr. President”

Hey! My name is Mr. President. I am in K3 (0255) at the Big Spring Animal Shelter. I am a medium/large, male, 4-year-old Shepherd Pit Bull mix and I weigh 65 lbs. I am brindle colored, so I look cool like a tiger! I have been here since February 15th. I am here because I was surrendered with 9 other dogs by our previous owner. They tried very hard to take care of us but there were just too many of us to handle. This is also not my first trip to the animal shelter. Our fence wasn’t very good so we would escape a lot through holes and areas that had fallen. Despite that, I am a very well-behaved and sweet boy. I walk well on my leash, and I know how to sit and shake.

My ears are kind of big for me, but I think it just makes me look cuter.

I am microchipped, current on all vaccinations and neutered. Please help me find my lasting home.

• C1 (0747) “Baby”

My name is Baby! I am an 8-year-old female, Russian Blue cat. I am in C1 (0747) at the Big Spring Animal Shelter. I have been here since July 1st. I am here because my long-time owner sadly passed away. I had been with her my whole life, and she loved me so much. Her family just couldn’t keep me due to having too many animals of their own. To try and find me a better home, they brought me to the shelter in hopes that I would find someone to love me just as much as my mommy did. I am a very sweet girl who loves to talk to you and enjoys being petted. I am an older though and set in my ways. I have been an only cat most of my life and like things quiet, so I’d prefer no young kids or dogs please. I am also a little cross-eyed. They say it gives me character! I am not microchipped, vaccinated or spayed yet so my new family will have to have that done. Please consider taking me home to be a part of your family.
