Improper relationship highlights indictments
Headlining the docket of the Howard County Grand Jury was an improper relationship between educator and student (a second degree felony) returned against Kendall Jaye Phillips, 24, of 105 Teachers Rd., Forsan.
In November of last year, the Howard County Sheriff's Office arrested the Forsan ISD teacher and coach Kendall Phillips on a charge of improper relationship between educator and student as a result of an anonymous tip.
Several cases of possession of controlled substance, theft and tampering with evidence highlighted this week's session of the Howard County Grand Jury. A total of 11 individuals were indicted.
Those individuals include:
• Morgan Dione Ausbie, 29, possession of controlled substance PG 1 less than 1 gram (state jail felony), in jail.
• Riley Brooks, 32, of 3509 E. I-20, possession of controlled substance (enhanced to third degree felony) and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon (enhanced to second degree felony).
• Isaac Xavier Cerda, 21, of 1104 S. Austin, theft of property (state jail felony), unauthorized use of vehicle (state jail felony) and evading arrest in a vehicle (third degree felony).
• Rudolph Leo Gutierrez III, 31, of 2614 Monticello, possession of a controlled substance greater than 4 grams but less than 200 grams (second degree felony) and possession of controlled substance less than 1 gram (enhanced to third degree felony).
• Brandy Ann Martinez, 26, robbery (enhanced to first degree felony) and fraudulent use or possession of identifying information (enhanced to first degree felony, in jail.
• Jonathan Mata, 38, burglary of a habitation with intent to commit a felony (first degree felony), in jail.
• Angela Mcgee, 40, of 538 Westover apt. 103, possession of a controlled substance (state jail felony).
Dakota Mack Murphree, 28, of 1711 Alabama, possession of a controlled substance (enhance to second degree felony).
• Michael D. Phillips, 22, burglary of a habitation (second degree felony), in jail.
• Jay Thomas Taggart, 23, tampering with or fabricating physical evidence (third degree felony), in jail.
