Rosalind “Estelle” Howard, 104, long time resident of Big Spring, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm, Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Nalley-pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, January 8, 2024 at the Nalley-pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Billy Guy, officiatin­g. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

Estelle was born to parents Johnie Elizabeth (Baker) and Joe M. Crumbley in Junction, Texas. She was a graduate of Forsan High School. She married the love of her life James Roland Howard. He preceded her in death in 1978. In her earlier years, she worked for the Singer Company here in Big Spring. She also worked part-time at Herman’s Restaurant and Sew What. She was a loyal member of the Big Spring Art Associatio­n

and the Caboose Watercolor Society on Facebook Website. She was a member of the First Assembly of God and served as bookkeeper for over 70 years. She was “A Doer” and a “Social Butterfly”. She loved and worshipped Jesus Christ and started each day with gratitude. She loved her children, grandchild­ren and great grandchild­ren.

She is survived by her grandchild­ren: Ladonna Kibler of Syracuse, NY, Joel Howard of Big Spring, Carey Howard of Tucson, AZ, Vance Howard (Karen) of Huntsville and Rachel Geick of Huntsville and numerous great granchildr­en.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James and two sons Ronald Howard and Dewey Howard.
