Danny Hudson Tucker

- Paid Obituary

Danny Hudson Tucker, passed away peacefully on 3.20.24 at Scenic Mountain Medical Center, in Big Spring, TX. Danny was born on 10.28.59 in Big Spring, to Bill and Laneta Tucker. He was the youngest of four, and as such was loved and spoiled by his family. Danny was a lifelong resident of Howard County. He attended Coahoma ISD from kindergarten until graduating. In 1979 he married, Elfi Perez. They made their home in Sand Springs, where they raised their children William (son, Jake, & grandson Silas), Tony (wife Katie, children Hudsynn, Holden, & Marshall), and Natalia (husband, Ben, daughter Shelbie). Danny was known by most as shy and quiet, but those who knew him best knew that he could be stubborn and temperamental. Danny enjoyed fishing, classic rock music, watching NHRA, welding, and woodworking, and was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan (though they often made him cuss). Danny also loved a good dad joke, Cheech and Chong, and “Blazing Saddles”. Danny loved Elfi and his children unconditionally. He was most proud of being a father. The only thing he loved more than bragging about his kids, was bragging about his grandchildren. Danny was preceded in death by his father, Bill, brother, Noel, and grandson, Holden, and survived by his mother, Laneta, by Elfi, sisters Sheryl and Connie, as well as brothers-in-law and sister-inlaw, his children and grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, March 24 at Myer’s & Smith Funeral Home in Big Spring, from 2 pm – 4 pm. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, March 25 at 10 am at Myer’s & Smith Chapel. A graveside service will follow at Coahoma Cemetery, where Danny will be laid to rest beside his father. The family requests memorial donations be made to the LIFE Program at High Sky Children’s Ranch. Donations can be made at https://www.highsky.org/ help/make-a-donation/ (please note that it is for the LIFE program).
